Tournament

Our Tournament Teams...  Although the primary goal of the WAA is to provide a program that meets the needs of all children in the community who want to play baseball, regardless of ability, we also have an obligation to provide opportunities for our better players to compete against teams from other towns.  To this extent we offer our Tournament Teams to provide additional game play opportunities to select players.  Generally, there is one team per age group.

We field Tournament Teams at the 8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U and 14U age levels.  Our Tournament Teams ("In-House All Stars") consist of elite in-house players that are looking to join a second, more intense and competitive team (tryouts required, additional cost required).  Tournament Team Members, both players and coaches, are expected to put forth considerable time, effort and commitment beyond that for a typical regular season team.  Our Tournament Teams will practice and play during the regular in-house season, to prepare them for Tournaments during the month of July.  All practices and some games will be played on our home fields, however the majority of games will be away games, played in the Chicagoland area.  Players who wish to extensively vacation with family, who have personal or academic restrictions, or who have other time-consuming commitments April through July are encouraged not to sign up for our Tournament Team Program.

Travel

Our Full-Time Travel Team Program, Woodridge Travel Baseball (WTB)  exists as an extension of and a compliment to the Woodridge Athletic Association (WAA) Program.  The purpose of the WTB Program is to provide an opportunity for our youth to compete at a primary level of excellence in a larger regional concept.

The objective of the WTB Program is to teach those players who exhibit exceptional judged skills, and have the desire to play competitive baseball; further development in the sport of baseball.  This further development includes much more intensive skills development with appropriate training by qualified personnel from the community at large as well as professional educators/coaches.  Our program is devoted solely to providing a venue in which the highest quality of sportsmanship, teamwork and fair play can be developed and exhibited by our selected players.

Each selected player as well as managers and coaches of the WTB must consider their selection as one of privilege and honor.  This program represents the greater community of Woodridge and requires that all individuals officially involved with the WTB display conduct at the highest level of quality and regard for others.
